WASHINGTON -- The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) on Monday told Joe Biden it is ready to begin the formal presidential transition process for him.

TRIPOLI -- The UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) said on Monday that the first virtual meeting of the second round of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum (LPDF) was held to discuss upcoming elections and selection of the country's unified executive authorities.
"Acting Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the UNSMIL Stephanie Williams convened today the first virtual meeting of the second round of the LPDF to discuss the selection criteria of the unified executive authorities for the preparatory period preceding the elections," the UNSMIL said in a statement. RAMALLAH -- Palestine on Monday began to restore civil and security relations with Israel following a six-month suspension of the bilateral agreements signed between the two sides.
The employees of the General Authority for Civil Affairs, the Palestinian liaison office that coordinates civil relations between the Palestinian Authority and Israel including registration of new births and issuing passports and work permits, have returned to work at its offices and branches in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. BOGOTA -- At least four people have been killed and 10 injured, and 15 have been reported missing due to a landslide early Monday in Valdivia, a town in the northwest Colombian department of Antioquia, the National Police said.
"Initially, four people have died, and we have 10 injured people who have been evacuated from the site and 15 are missing, according to information provided by the community," the chief of the National Police, Oscar Atehortua, said in a preliminary report. (Colombia-Landslide)
