RAMALLAH, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) -- Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Ishtaye condemned on Friday the increasing Israeli settlers' assaults on the Palestinian citizens and their properties in the West Bank.
Ishtaye also urged the new administration of U.S. President Joe Biden to condemn and stop these "unaccepted attacks that are committed under the Israeli army forces' eyes and ears" in the West Bank.
"Washington should take urgent measures to curb the settlement expansion that was accelerated during the last moments of the former U.S. administration," Ishtaye said.
He also called on Biden's administration to implement the United Nations Security Council resolution 2334, which condemns Israeli settlement in Palestine and calls for stopping it.
On Thursday night, Palestinian sources and eyewitnesses said that a three-year-old Palestinian child was injured when Israeli settlers attacked the car the child was in.
Palestinian security sources also said that Israeli settlers attacked with firebombs two homes in the village of Burin south of the West Bank city of Nablus, adding that the settlers' attacks on West Bank citizens have recently increased.
