TEHRAN -- Iran's 13th presidential election began on Friday morning at 7 a.m. local time (0230 GMT) as Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei cast his vote in the ballot box.

Concurrently, Iran's Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli officially announced the beginning of the presidential elections nationwide. (Iran-President-Election)


RAMALLAH -- Palestine on Friday announced that it quitted an agreement reached with Israel and Pfizer company on exchanging anti-coronavirus vaccines with Israel.

Spokesman of the Palestinian government Ibrahim Milhem said in a press statement that Prime Minister Mohammed Ishtaye instructed Health Minister Mai al-Kaila to inform both Israel and Pfizer that the agreement is cancelled. (Palestine-Israel-Vaccine)


RAMALLAH -- At least seven Palestinian protestors were injured on Friday in clashes with Israeli soldiers in two separate incidents in the West Bank, medical sources and eyewitnesses said.

Five Palestinians were injured by rubber-coated metal bullets during clashes with Israeli soldiers in the village of Beita south of the West Bank city of Nablus, while two others were injured by rubber bullets in the village of Beit Dajan east of Nablus, according to the sources. ISTANBUL -- The shop owners and employees of Turkey's iconic Grand Bazaar in the city of Istanbul have received the COVID-19 vaccines on the spot in a mobile clinic, Gultekin Kaya, the press advisor of the bazaar, said Friday.
